Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer- Drives System

- Creates/develops/realizes the designs in CAD with in the agreed time and with high quality of results.
- Electromechanical design for electronic inter-connection technology (PCB, connectors, leadframes/wires, Housing) & wiring harness.
- Represents all design activities during product development, which requires close co-operation with team of engineers, component experts, HQ engineers, test engineers and project engineer.
- Liaise with Product groups in Headquarters to understand specific Design requests.
- To gather inputs, benchmark and research on electrical components viz; PCB interfaces connection, electrical connectors, EMC requirement(Testing) & Customer interface.
- Independent creation of designs, child part & assembly drawings, Bill of materials for new and series production products in accordance with Brose standards and procedures.
- Assessment of customer specifications & independent performing of general technically calculations (e.g. ampacity of electrical components, strength, weight, space) for functional requirement.
- Initiation of more complex calculations (e.g. deformation, Vibration, stress & EMC - simulations) and interpretation of results together with specialists.
- Creation and maintenance of constructions-FMEAs and design guidelines/Norms.
- Ensures designs are made in a timely manner to support releases (V0, V1, V2 release, customer sample requests, test sample requests, etc.).
- Provides innovative ideas in product design and VA/VE ideas for a cost competitive product.
- Considers all valid procedures, job instructions and organizational instructions.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree (B. E or B. Tech.) in Mechanical or Automotive or Electrical engineering is preferred or equivalent combination of education.
- Min. 5-8 years experience in automobile related industries preferred in electrical motors after university graduation in engineering degree.
- CAD design 3D and 2D CATIA V5.
- Expertise in product area of Electrical connectors and inter-connection technology.
- Good Knowledge in PCB fixation, EMC requirements, testing and wire harness components.
- Interpretation of technical specification and understanding and ability to define and analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and solutions.
- Basic design calculations of static and dynamical loads, deformation, pressure, Electrical, etc.
- Knowledge in metal and plastic design and manufacturing.
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Very good communication skill and presentation skill.
- Preferred knowledge in automotive motors.
